     SMA is located in Fernley Nevada 30 miles East of Reno at the Reno Fernley Raceway and is a newer site for the Northern Nevada area.   The training bikes provided for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) classes are Honda 250 Nighthawks and the range is fully unobstructed asphalt. Our classes have two Rider Coaches with up to 9 students per class to provide a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
     Our Coaching staff are seasoned riders with years of experience, (riding and racing both on and off road). They are certified through the  MSF and are looking forward to providing the most quality and professional motorcycle training for all your needs.   Whether you are a new rider just beginning or an experienced rider looking to hone your skills,  please give us a call to see what we can do for you.

Dirt Bike Riders:  We are happy to announce training for Dual Sport / Trail / Off Road / Supermoto & Moto X classes for adults and children 12 & up.  Must have your own bike please.  (These are not MSF certified classes.)

Hourly Rates

If you have completed a BRC class through us you can take an ERC /skills practice or skills plus class for $50

ERC = Experienced Rider Course $125

BRC = Basic Rider Course $275

*REQUIRED ITEMS FOR MSF CLASSES; ( Please don't forget, you will be asked to leave)
*Helmet DOT approved (Loaner helmets are available).
*Eye Protection (Prescription or sun glasses or goggles are OK).
*Full fingered gloves
*Long pants (Not to wide at the bottom).
*Long sleeve shirt or jacket (layer for all weather, rain suit).
*Over the ankle boots (No tennis shoes, steel toe or high heels, are not recommended).
Lunch (Due to time limits we eat at the track bring your own lunch).

RENO FERNLEY RACEWAY TRACK PERMIT CLASSES:

Required items;

Motorcycle (with good tires, no leaks, safety wire drain plug, taped up lenses, no mirrors,

(water wetter or engine ice, no antifreeze)

Fuel ( fuel is available at the track)

Helmet Full faced (Snell approved)

Riding suit with armor (full or two piece leather, aerostitch or gortex)

Back protector

Gloves (gauntlet)

Boots (Motorcycle riding / race)
